Terms of Use
The agreement between you and BDHM LLP, the company behind RiseCam, when you use the app or this website. It is written to be read: what you get, what you pay for, and what each of us is responsible for.
Last updated 3 October 2026
The short version
Your footage is yours. Using RiseCam requires a RiseCam Pro subscription, sold monthly or yearly; the yearly plan can start with a 7-day free trial. It is an auto-renewing subscription, billed and cancelled through your app store. Do not post anything unlawful or harmful. The app is provided as it is, without guarantees.
Who you are agreeing with
RiseCam is provided by BDHM LLP (ТОО «BDHM»), a limited liability partnership registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan under business identification number 260940032270, with its registered office at 30 I.P. Shukhov Street, Petropavlovsk 150000, North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. "RiseCam", "we" and "us" in these terms mean BDHM LLP.
Accepting these terms
By installing or using RiseCam you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms yourself or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
What RiseCam is
RiseCam takes a photo at a regular interval while you work and turns the result into a time-lapse video, alongside a record of how long you focused. It is a tool for recording your own work. It is not medical advice or treatment, and nothing in it is a substitute for a professional.
Accounts
RiseCam works without signing up: a guest account tied to your device is created for you. A guest account cannot be recovered if the device or the app's data is lost. Signing up with email, Google or Apple carries your history over to an account you can sign back in to.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app.
Your footage and what you post
You own the frames you capture and the videos made from them. They stay on your device unless you post them, and RiseCam claims no rights over them.
If you choose to post a time-lapse, you give RiseCam permission to store it, review it, and show it to your friends in the app together with your name, profile picture, your arc's name, your focus time and the date. That permission lasts until you delete the post or your account. Posts reach your friends as soon as you post them, and we may review and remove any post.
You agree not to record or post anything that:
- is unlawful, or shows or promotes violence, abuse or self-harm;
- is sexually explicit;
- shows another person who has not agreed to be filmed, or reveals someone's private information;
- infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
You are responsible for having the right to film wherever you record, including at a workplace or a school.
RiseCam Pro and billing
RiseCam is a subscription app: using it requires RiseCam Pro. Pro is sold as a monthly subscription (US$9.99 a month) or a yearly subscription (US$59.99 a year). Outside the United States the price is set in your store's currency and may differ. Moving between monthly and yearly is handled by your store.
- The yearly subscription can start with a 7-day free trial if your Apple Account is eligible for it; Apple decides eligibility. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription begins when the trial ends and is charged then. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start with the free trial, when the trial ends. The price is the one shown to you on the purchase screen, in your store's currency.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app or your RiseCam account does not cancel it.
- After cancelling, your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; RiseCam cannot issue them.
- We may change the price of a subscription. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and your store will tell you about it beforehand where it is required to.
Using RiseCam fairly
Do not misuse the app or its servers: no attempting to access other people's accounts or data, no interfering with the service, no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, and no automated use that burdens it. The app, its name, its design and its code belong to BDHM LLP; these terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them, and nothing more.
Ending your use
You can stop using RiseCam and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The footage on your own device is not affected by either.
No guarantees
RiseCam is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that a recording will never be lost. Apart from what you post, footage is stored only on your device, and keeping a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose is your responsibility.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, RiseCam is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for a RiseCam subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be limited.
Apple
These terms are between you and RiseCam, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, or for supporting it. These terms apply in addition to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs wherever the two conflict on a point Apple requires.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top of it, and announce significant changes in the app. Continuing to use RiseCam after a change means you accept it.
